Urban Meyer Stepping Down: Which BCS Programs Will Pillage Florida's Recruits?

Urban Meyer stepping down, for the second year in a row, will undoubtedly shake up the college football recruiting scene.

Year in and year out, the Gators are near the top, if not at the top, of all the major recruiting service rankings. This year has been no different.

The 2011 recruiting class is loaded with 4 and 5-stars, including the country's number two QB recruit, Jeff Driskel.

Without any clear leadership in the Gators program, Driskel and other perspective members of the 2011 recruiting class will most certainly consider other programs. But which school swill be quickest to poach Florida's talent?

The obvious answer would be Florida State, the only school of the major Florida programs with a head coach (Miami's Randy Shannon was recently dismissed.) There is little doubt that Jimbo Fisher and his staff will redouble their efforts with Gators' commits, enticing them with long-term stability, something that neither the Canes nor the Gators can offer.

Auburn, LSU, Georgia, and Alabama will also be front runners in coming after Gators commits. If Florida hopes to keep their recruiting class at least partially intact, they'll need to hire a coach a quickly who can start a damage control plan right away.
