Bowl Game Point Spreads, Odds: Breaking Down Weekend's Games

Bowl game point spreads will undoubtedly be the topics of conversations for the coming weeks as college football hits primetime nearly every single day.

There are three bowl games this weekend and all are sure to gain plenty of interest. Here is a breakdown of the bowl games this holiday weekend:

Poinsettia Bowl, Thursday 8 p.m.: Navy v. San Diego State University

Favorite: San Diego (-3)

Pick Against Spread: San Diego

  • The small spread in this game would cause plenty to pick Navy, given the Midshipmen's ability to run the football and control the clock. Given the wet conditions and overall comfort level of San Diego State, though, it's the favorite for a reason—and the Aztecs will win by the margin of at least a touchdown.

Sheraton Bowl, Friday 8 p.m.: Hawaii v. Tulsa

Favorite: Hawaii (-10)

Pick Against Spread: Hawaii

  • Tulsa played well in what was an extremely tough Conference-USA this year, but Hawaii is the first ranked opponent Tulsa will face all year. Plus, you can't deny the success Hawaii has enjoyed this year. With its only losses coming to USC, Boise State and Colorado, Hawaii is on its home turf and should roll with ease in this game.

Little Caesar's Bowl, Sunday 8 p.m.: Florida International v. Toledo

Favorite: Toledo (-1.5)

Pick Against Spread: Toledo

  • With a spread this thin, it should come as a comfort that Toledo is simply the better team. With much tougher competition, the Rockets were the second best team in the MAC and should get past Florida International behind running back Adonis Thomas and his powerful legs.
