Arsenal make ref explain why he postponed match in heavy snow

Newsflash: It's snowing really hard, you numpty.

The weekend's Premier League fixture list was decimated by snow and ice dumped all over England. While it's never fun having an excuse to not play matches, it was a pretty straightforward reason behind the decision to postpone.

And yet, like a weatherman forced to stand in a hurricane to let you know that there is, in fact, a hurricane, Arsenal's website had match referee Lee Mason stand in the barely visible Emirates Stadium so they could videotape him talking about why he postponed their match. From Arsenal's official website:

Arsenal's Premier League match against Stoke was postponed on Saturday after a deluge of snow hit London.

Approximately three inches of snow fell in just half-an-hour, prompting referee Lee Mason to call the game off just after midday (UK time).

We caught up with the referee to find out what issues he had to consider when making his decision.

Those issues?

1) There's too much snow.

2) There is no two. There's just too much snow, genius.

And so for nearly a full minute, they stood in the snow with this man and made him discuss what could have been more succinctly explained by simply saying, "Look -- look at the f***ing snow."
