LA Lakers: Will a Bad Pinkie Finger Keep Kobe Bryant Out Against Raptors?

Your latest L.A. Lakers news concerns Kobe Bryant, who sprained his right pinkie finger in the first quarter of Friday night's game against the 76ers. This led to a pretty bad shooting night for Kobe, and he finished the evening with just nine points.

But according to Broderick Turner of the LA Times, Kobe's bad finger isn't going to keep him out of Sunday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.

"You think I'm going to miss a game for a pinkie?" joked Bryant when asked if it would keep him out.

However, Lakers head coach Phil Jackson did stress that the finger is going to be a lingering injury.

"It's an issue," he said, "It's going to be an issue for a while."

In other news, the Times also reported that newly-acquired forward Joe Smith might play as soon as Sunday.

Regardless, it sounds like all is well in Laker land. They've won seven of eight, as you well know.
