DTotD: Jerzy Dudek smashes his face into Contout, breaks jaw

Jerzy Dudek got a rare start from under San Iker in Real Madrid's thoroughly unimportant final Champions League group stage match against Auxerre on Wednesday. And, he promptly broke his jaw just before halftime.

Deep into injury time before the break, Dudek rushed to make a flying clearance on the edge of the box and after doing so, used his face to soften his collision with Auxerre's Roy Contout. Dudek had to come out of the match with a fractured jaw that will keep him on the bench for six weeks. Not much different from business as usual for Dudek except now he'll be in a bit of pain as he sits on the bench.
