Dimitar Berbatov...doesn't want any more awards from Bulgaria

Our dear friend...The Continental won the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year award for a SEVENTH time on Monday. It's a wonderful achievement and a true honor. It's also something Dimitar doesn't want to happen again. To put it gently, he's had enough of winning your awards, Bulgaria.

From Reuters:

"I prefer to see some of the younger lads winning the award," the 29-year-old said after coming top in the poll of sports journalists.

"Please, don't vote for me anymore."

Like the belief that just because he doesn't run laps around opponents when scoring five goals at a time means that he's lazy, this statement is bound to be misconstrued as arrogance instead of a selfless desire to spread the recognition.

That aside, The Berba would like to remind you that even though he no longer wants your votes, he does still want your phone number. Ha-HA!
