The third girl from the right might need an exorcism.
It was inevitable. The American football tradition of paying impossibly happy womenfolk to gyrate during a game has made its way to European football, taking hold with none other than The Old Lady herself. Sure, cheerleaders have been a sideshow to the game in South America for a while now (all pictures not safe for work) and sides like English non-league club Histon FC have them as well, but who would have thought Juventus would be next?
The addition of a pom-pom weilding cheerleading squad seems to have been the brainchild of Juve shirt sponsor BetClic, which has posted a series of videos introducing the women on their YouTube channel over the last month. Here they are giddily bouncing around as they get their personalized kits...
The ladies made their match debut at Juve's 2-1 win over Bari on Sunday, dancing on the pitch before the match and in the stands during it. As you can see below, the Juve faithful aren't exactly enamored by the newest addition to the matchday atmosphere.
