London's Evening Standard ran an article this week detailing how the father of British teen sensation Laura Robson was taking a rare week off from work to watch his 17-year-old daughter play Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon.
The caption to the picture reads "That's my girl: Laura Robson's father Andrew has taken time off work to watch her." There's only one problem. Robson says that's not her father. The 2008 Wimbledon juniors champion Tweeted a note to the Evening Standard saying the man giving the thumbs up isn't her dad. Presumably, he's just a guy that likes giving positive affirmation to active tennis players.
The Evening Standard has yet to comment. While we wait for that, here's a handy guide for the newspaper to use for future Robson articles.
Other people who aren't Laura Robson's dad:
Turns out we couldn't find a legitimate photograph of Andrew Robson, leading us to irresponsibly speculate that he's either a superhero or international jewel thief.*
* He's actually a senior executive at Royal Dutch Shell.
