NFL lockout headed to a town near you!
What all of us football fans dreaded and exclaimed would never happen, on the basis of it being simply inane, has: the NFL is in lockout mode, the players' union has decertified and brought an antitrust suit against the NFL, and Tom Brady is against the NFL.
No really, the suit is called Tom Brady vs. the NFL.
Well, the player's union, now operating as a "trade association," certainly picked the right man to strike fear in the heart of his opponents, those billionaire owners who want players to play 18 games and give them $1 billion more.
Speaking of instilling fear into the heart of opponents, Georgia Tech certainly didn't this season, going 13-18 and losing in the first round of the ACC Tournament.
The final loss appeared to be the tipping point for the school, as Georgia Tech fired coach Paul Hewitt today.
And Kemba Walker apparently doesn't plan on disappointing anyone other than his opponents, his play catapulting the No. 19 Connecticut Huskies to the Big East Men's Championship against No. 14 Louisville tonight.
Walker scored 33 points, grabbed 12 boards, dished out five assists and collected six steals against rival Syracuse in the conference semifinals, a day after hitting a buzzer-beater against No. 3 Pittsburgh.
For this and a whole lot more, read on after the (page) break.
