Ricky Hatton says the desire isn't there yet to make a comeback

Ricky Hatton is a child by boxing standards. Fighters simply don't hang up the gloves at 32 years old. Maybe Hatton will be unique and not squeeze every ounce of blood from the turnip. If he wants to return, there's million out there to fight a number of possible opponents at 140 and 147 pounds.

Right now, the British fan favorite isn't willing to say one way or the other. He did tell Fight Hub TV that if he returns to the ring it won't be anytime soon.

"There's time for me. I'm only 32 years of age [but] the only way I will make a comeback is if I get that burning desire, that fire in the belly comes back. Right now, I don't have it," said Hatton (0:35 mark).

Hatton went on to speak about his younger brother, Matthew, who's taking on Saul Alvarez in Anaheim on HBO (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) on Saturday.

Ricky said Matthew is stronger than ever but will be the smaller fighter in this bout at 154 pounds. Ricky thinks the speed advantage is on the side of his brother and said don't overlook Matthew. This fight could be similar to the outcome when he pulled the upset on Kostya Tszyu back in 2005.
