2011 NFL Mock Draft: Seattle Seahawks Jimmy a Lockdown Corner

The Seahawks aren't likely to have a shot at either of the draft's top two corners?Patrick Peterson and Prince Amukamara?to alleviate their woes in the defensive backfield, but they should be able to land one who is nearly as talented, though who comes with some extra baggage?Colorado's Jimmy Smith.

Not that Pete Carroll will necessarily be deterred by Smith's past positive drug tests and arrests, after incorporating several of his former USC misfits into his team in Seattle to put together a surprising playoff team this past season. Certainly, 'Hawks safety/rookie sensation Earl Thomas wouldn't mind having the 6'2", 205-pound Smith shutting down half the field for him to open up more opportunities for hits and picks over the middle.

If Smith turns out to be anything like Antonio Cromartie, to whom scouts have compared him for his size and skill set, then this will be more than a worthwhile pick for Seattle.
