There can be only one (thumbsucker)!
Francesco Totti scored his 206th Serie A goal with a penalty (his missed a second) in Roma's 3-2 win over Bari on Sunday, giving him one more than Roberto Baggio on the all-time list. To celebrate the occasion, Totti wore a special shirt after the match that clarified that he is, in fact, still alive. Oh, and that he's the King of Rome.
From La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"This is a very special record and it's very important for me, so I enjoyed myself designing a t-shirt to celebrate this unforgettable moment. It reads 'The King of Rome is not dead'." Totti continued: "These words were spoken by an English commentator during the derby last March, when I scored twice against Lazio," he wrote in his blog on the website, "and I must say that I immediately liked it, because it's true, I never die."
So there you have it. Francesco Totti is The Highlander. Photo of his T-shirt right this way...
Meanwhile, deep in the bowels of the Stadio Olimpico, Hernanes plots against him...
