French Open 2011: What to watch on Day 5 from Roland Garros

Busted Racquet previews Thursday's action at the 2011 French Open. For all our French Open coverage, click here or follow us on Twitter.

? I'm not saying Thursday's slate at the French Open is subpar*, but if you've been planning your mornings and afternoons around watching coverage this week, it might be a nice day to take a break before hunkering down in front of the TV for Friday's Novak Djokovic-Juan Martin del Potro matchup**. The first three matches at Court Philippe Chatrier feature a top seed (Kim Clijsters, Andy Murray and Maria Sharapova, respectively) facing off against a player outside the top 100. The fourth is a fine, if unspectacular, match between two French players.

? Things don't get much better at Suzanne Lenglen, unless you believe Rafael Nadal will show ill-effects from his battle with John Isner. The five-time French Open champ plays fellow Spaniard Pablo Andujar in the third match. If the first two matches (Robin Soderling vs. Albert Ramos and Li Na vs. Silvia Soler-Espinosa) are as lopsided as expected, Rafa might be off the court by the time folks on the East Coast are finishing their morning coffee.

? The famed bull ring features the best match of the day. Two-time Slam semifinalist Zheng Jie faces off against Busted Racquet's pick to win it all, Petra Kvitova, in the early match. They'll be followed by Fernando Verdasco and Xavier Malisse.

? In American action, Sam Querrey, the 25th seed, will be the underdog when he steps on the court against unseeded Ivan Ljubicic. Mardy Fish, Vania King and Jill Craybas also play second-round matches on Thursday.

* Of course, it's always the days you don't expect that end up being the best.

** Already excited about this one. I anticipate refreshing the OOP endlessly Thursday to see when they'll play on Friday.

Don't miss: Verdasco (16) vs. Malisse; Kvitova (9) vs. Zheng
