(Skip ahead to 3:30 into the video for a relevant part.)
Teams often get upset about referee decisions that don't go their way -- especially in a big match like a cup final -- but few get so upset that they just stop playing. That's what happened in the Serbian Cup final between Partizan Belgrade and Vojvodina Novi Sad, though.
Down 2-1 in the 82nd minute, Vojvodina felt they should have been awarded a penalty kick and when the referee didn't give it, they walked off the pitch and refused to continue. The clock kept running as Vojvodina players clapped and sang with their supporters until the referee blew the whistle for full time and declared Partizan the winners.
Serbian football has been riddled with violence, riots and match-fixing scandals in recent years, so there could have been more behind Vojvodina's decision than just one missed call.
Anyway, we have a new possible outcome for the next Clasico.
