Strikeforce Fedor vs. Silva Gets Under Way at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday Night
Whatever you do, don't accuse the good folks at Strikeforce of having a lack of ambition.
If this were the case, they wouldn't have come up with the idea to have a World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament, which is scheduled to get under way at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
The main card for Saturday's action is, of course, highlighted by the Heavyweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bout between Fedor Emelianenko and Antonio "Big Foot" Silva.
Emelianenko is returning to action for the first time since his defeat at the hands of Fabricio Werdum back in late June, which was just the second loss of his career.
Silva, on the other hand, was last seen punching the daylights out of Mike Kyle in early December.
Their bout will be preceded by another quarterfinal bout between Andrei Arlovski and Sergei Kharitonov, as well as three undercard bouts.
Needless to say, it's going to be a big night for Strikeforce—which could see a huge spike in popularity if their schemes pan out.
