Arsenal proved their doubters wrong, even if just for one half, and defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League tie at the Emirates. And though there is still a treacherous second leg left to play the Camp Nou, we are left to wonder, what if it continued?
97' -- David Villa does the math and figures out he would have scored approximately 78 more goals if he hadn't been subbed off in the 68th minute.
101' -- Wojciech Szczesny continues to sit on his knees and convulse with double fist pumping ecstasy. He has no idea what's going on in the match, but he does know that he's really thirsty and that it would be so perfect if someone played some house music right now. So perfect.
108' -- Nicklas Bendtner looks up at the scoreboard, is confused as to why he hasn't been credited with all three goals.
115' -- Gerard Pique wonders why his teammates keep referring to Shakira as "Yoko," starts to bleed.
120' -- Jack Wilshere continues to play flawlessly in the eyes of his countrymen. They start building statues to honor his eventual World Cup wins and plotting undercover newspapers investigations to catch him engaging in bestiality.
124' -- Sergio Busquets falls down, asks when people will finally realize that he has something seriously wrong with his legs.
133' -- Lionel Messi giggles, enjoying the fact that he hasn't scored a goal yet. It reminds him that he isn't a robot and won't short-circuit when he cries while watching Pixar movies.
136' -- Andrei Arshavin scores again, this time celebrates by holding up his calendar.
140' -- Cesc Fabregas smiles with pride as his team beats Barcelona. He thinks that the only way this moment could be more perfect would be if Barcelona were winning and he was playing for them.
145' -- Having seen that Arsenal can hang with his perfect team of perfection, Pep Guardiola walks over to Arsene Wenger, gets down on one knee and asks Arsene if he would like to be his "blood brother in beauty." Wenger says yes, begins to weep and declares that he feels just like Molly Ringwald in 16 Candles.
