Says Hodgson to Sir Alex at Sunday's match between Wigan and Newcastle amid reports that Liverpool are on the verge of giving his job to Kenny Dalglish: "I think that win over Bolton yesterday stopped those rumors that I only took the Liverpool job to destroy the club from the inside on your dark orders."
Says Ferguson: "Haha idiots."
Hodgson: "Hahaha I know!"
Ferguson: "So, listen, I'm gonna get you sacked so I can get them to hire my son Darren. Nothing personal. Except, you know, it is."
Hodgson: "Oh."
Ferguson: "Yeah. Just keep laughing or I won't pay you to do my gardening anymore."
Hodgson: "Okay."
