DTotD: Saudi supporters throw shoes at referee

Al Nasr fans were not happy when their side only managed a 2-2 draw against Al Taawon on Wednesday night. So, they decided to throw their shoes.

Now, throwing snowballs, like the Belgians did, is one thing. But throwing your shoes is more of a punishment for yourself. Is that brief release of frustration really worth walking home barefoot? It's almost more of an act of masochism than anything else.

Anyway, the match officials had to scurry through the tunnel as footwear rained down on them. Better than the players throwing their boots, I guess.
